Meet the Team

Joseph “Ben” Carter, Owner 

Ben has been in the landscape business since 1997. He worked in the Atlanta area for 9 years. He held a partnership with a landscape firm in Marietta, GA serving the Atlanta metropolitan area from 2001 through 2006.  While working, he earned a diploma in Environmental Horticulture from North Metro Technical College. In 2006, he and his wife Allison moved back to Jesup, where they both grew up. Ben continued to work in the landscape industry before deciding to open his own business, Carter Land Services LLC  in 2008. The business continues to grow throughout southeast Georgia. Ben and Allison have three boys and one daughter; Austin, Nicholas, Jared, and Brooke.

Jose Ortiz-Gonzalez –General Manager

Jose joined the team on day one. Jose was one of the few that started with Carter Land Services when the doors opened in late 2008.

Jose has naturally worn many hats in the company since 2008. His vast experience and dedication to CLS has been a key to our rapid growth. Jose took the General Manager position in 2016. He helps to oversee all aspects of production and sales.

Raymond Goodly – Fleet Manager

Raymond joined the team in 2009. Raymond manages the day to day preventative maintenance and mechanic work on all trucks, tractors, and equipment. 

Sherod Collins – Irrigation Management

Sherod joined the team in 2014. Sherod oversees production and quality control for all irrigation clients throughout the company.

Jesus Barrios – Landscape/Hardscape Operations Manager

Jesus joined the team in 2013. Jesus has been instrumental in coordinating, scheduling, and overseeing our landscape/hardscape projects.

Lane Tindal – Account Manager / Maintenance Division

Lane joined the team in 2018. Lane manages maintenance accounts and crew production for Glynn, Wayne, McIntosh, and Liberty County.

 

Jim Collins – Horticultural Management

Jim joined the team in 2018. Jim monitors and schedules all pesticide, herbicide, fungicide, and fertilization programs through Carter Land Services territories. Jim also assist with irrigation projects as needed.
